This building, formally named Gran Liceo Yersin was built in 1927 by the French architect Moncet. This monument of Da Lat is considered a unique piece of architecture of the 20th century, annual award given by the Association of Architects (UIA).
1948 University of Dalat
In its origins, baptized with the name of The small high school in Da Lat, this place was used as a college for the French and wealthy families of Vietnam. In 1932 its name was changed to The Gran Liceo in Da Lat and subsequently, in the year 1935 is re-bautizó with its current name: El Gran Liceo Yersin, in memory of Dr. Alexandre Yersin.
The pedagogy of Da Lat University was founded in 1976, September 3 to be exact.
The building consists of 3 floors and 24 classrooms, although what is most striking is the Tower of 54 meters in height. The building, constructed in brick brought from France, is reddish. The roof had to be restored.
The Bell Tower is inspired by Morger architectural concepts, the Switzerland city where Alexandre Yersin was born.
