Where to get Laos currency
In Europe it is difficult to find a home where you can exchange currency changes by Kip, it is best to carry U.S. dollars for initial transactions (eg, pay fees Laos visa). Once in Southeast Asia is very easy to change Kip, for example in Thailand and Cambodia most Exchange houses operating with Laos currency. We can also remove Kip of the ATMs of the Laos international airports (with the exception of airport of Savannakhet, which does not have cash, or Exchange House).
Once inside the borders of Laos, it is possible to change Kip, we recommend to avoid black market due to their high commissions. The BFL Bank (Banque Franco Lao) where can change euros to Kip with total guarantee is very popular in Laos.
